東京でのマラソン・陸上・駅伝・・・・・体を鍛えて、環境を守ってエコマラソン

Namban Rengo won two divisions and placed in another one for one of the most successful Shibuya Ekiden in hte clubs history. Detailed results will follow.

Mika Tokairin, today's flying organizer!

The ladies receiving their first prize!

The masters celebrating their win.
Yours truly ran third, and was very happy to close the gap on Takeshi's third leg runner, I handed off to Jay just about 6 or 7 seconds behind my opponent, so I must have cut the gap in half. Jay, as expected, flew into first within a few meters and never looked back!

I have long been told to never ever look back.

I appreciated my teammates setting me up for such glory.

A Truly remarkable event for the Master Blaster (this was the name of our Master Team!).
The event went like this:
- our competitors played their card in reverse than ours starting with their faster runner while we kept ours (Jay) for the last leg.
- 1st leg: Keren impressive performance (and arriving at the start after having cycled for 50km!) kept well with the other Team fast guys. Faster by 30 seconds than last year!
- 2nd leg: Fabrizio, with 4kgs extra due to the mountain of pasta eaten in Italy and seriously unfit recover 31 seconds closing the gap to 16seconds to the first runner.
- 3rd leg: Jurgen pursue further and brought the gap to a +6 seconds to our advantage.
- 4th leg: Jay kept running fast and closed with a victory of +18seconds over the second

A well deserved first place!

Well, I hope Kiyo will be back next year. I won my leg, coming out of retirement, but I want to retire again...
How was Chiba?
