Kanagawa Half Marathon -Chika-

Here, one more Kanagawa Half Marathon result.

Chika 1:36:0? (net time)

I'm sutisfied with my result.

I didn't expect good result as I found the weather would be bad, bad for me, cold as mid winter and strong northern wind were forecasted before the day. In fact, today wasn't cold but had strong wind.

Among 8000 people, I would be able to protect myself from wind but I didn't feel it and it reminded me my past result in Ohtawara Marathon in 2007 :( Wind made me slow… Continue

Japan EU Friendship Run, 10Km race report

On this weekend, 11th Oct. Saturday, I, Jon san and Tamami san were enjoyed 10Km race in Nakamachidai, Yokohama.

First of all, please let me correct Jon's bog title...actually the race is called Japan EU Friendship Run. The race was part of the German School's October Festival.

The Friendship Run started in last year and then this year was 2nd time. In last year, the race was a small local race and almost all Japanese participants were from Yokohama because even the race was announced… Continue

Japan South Alps

This is not a race report but a trail run report.

The course was very nice (but hard actually) so that I would like to share it with you. This will be your future travel option for coming to Japan.

First of all, people think Alps Mt. is in Switzerland. In fact, we, Japan also has North and South Alps in center of the main island, which locates in between Yamanashi & Nagano prefecture (and share with small part of Shizuoka prefecture)

I and Shoji-san (from Namban Rengo)… Continue

2008 Surf City Marathon, Huntington Beach, CA, USA

In USA, first week of Feb. is a big event day, SUPER BALL SUNDAY but I enjoyed helf marathon on same day in the country ;)

My first visiting to southern CA started with nice and relatively warm weather...the area has 90% guarantee of blue sky. Huntington Beach is nice and pretty city, which is a famous city among surfers. The city is very clean, safe and well-organised city for outdoor sports.

However, I had bad luck in such city...miserably windy and rainy condition…

Shibuya Ekiden 2008

Too cold to run faster....that's I thought in yesterday morning after usual weekend LSD for 20Km.

Weather forcast was " max temp. = 6C, down to 1C at night and get snow in Tokyo" !! Hyeee (x_x)

In fact, as always cheering and my "Makezugirai (=not like to be beaten) mind push me up, my time wasn't so bad, under 4'10''/Km. Even I had to run twice (for replacement in team D), I could do good run. And the most happiest moment was passing by 2 girls as last runner of team D and…
