Thanks to Gerard for the post in Japanese! Well, it was windy and the course was a bit difficult, so, let's hope for a bit faster times at the Kanagawa race in February! After supporting the runners I got on my "Volcano" shopping bike to ride back, fortunately, I had pumped up the tyres yesterday! Soon after getting to the river, I was passed by four Pinarello riders in identical dress. They quickly moved
away, but I suddenly decided to follow. I started to feel hot, though, so I had to take off my warm jacket. Had to do it while riding, because otherwise, they would have been too far away. But they still opened up about 200m on
me, as I had to slow down to get rid of the jacket. Can you imagine a guy on a six-gear-mamacharri chasing after
four Pinarellos drafting off each other? Well, it would have been less fun if I had had my Oakley or my own
Pinarrello (which is in Germany). I managed to catch up after about 3k, then drafting behind them until we got to
Shiki. Speed was probably quite a bit over 30, close to the top-speed of a "Volcano", I was sweaty, but I still
got in a good run after I got home. Duathlon seems to be OK for me!
