Running in Tokyo/Japan - Marathon/Clubs/Track Races

東京でのマラソン・陸上・駅伝・・・・・体を鍛えて、環境を守ってエコマラソン

Daniiel (thanks for posting, see below), Masako and Juergen ran in today's race at Ota-ku. I had my new Brooks racing flats, and yes, ran an age-graded PB of  37:58, not bad considering the Garmin showed the course as 100m long, and I had run a half-marathon the week before! Splits were 3:35 (!) for the first kilometer, and 18:40 for 5k!

Masako finished under 42!

Thanks a lot to Brooks Japan for sponsoring the shoes, they are, honestly, great! Will write about that later! And thanks to the guy who chased me down the home-straight, without him, I would never have gotten under 38!

Looks like Masako won something! Am I correct?

Look forward to your review about those new racing flats.

Did you win a prize for your age related performance?

I was 10th! And happy about it, as the course record for my age group is 33:07, and usually, the winners are under 5!
About the first k, the course is flat, but wind came from the back on that portion.

And they match your Namban vest as well! And who recommended them ..........?

Anyway great job guys! How did you both do in your age categories?

Looking forward to seeing your  bright smiles in February.
