Owain Vaughan Lewes has not received any gifts yet
Well the first 4 weeks of my buildup have passed by, and now I am coming to the end of a recovery week. Very important to have these down weeks because they allow the body to recover and get stronger from the hard work that has already been done. Contrary to what many people think, people tend to profit from their training when they are resting, and not when they are actually training hard. Also a conventional buildup is a long journey; in my case 24 weeks for this marathon. Therefore it is…

Good luck to all of you who are running in this year's Tokyo marathon. Think of all the hard work that you've done to get you in the best shape that you've ever been; in order to run the race of your life. Seize the moment , but really enjoy the occasion. And have a well deserved Yebisu beer or two afterwards.
May the force be with you!

Please do spare a thought for the legendary Norwegian marathon runner who passed away earlier this week after a 5 year battle against cancer.
An orbituary will be published soon.

Thx Owain,
Sorry for the late response - my wife just had our second child and it has been a bit hectic for the past few weeks...
Hope to get out and run soon!
Hope to meet up as well!
Hello, Owain.
Thank you for leaving a message! Yes, I would love to find new running friends!
If you guys have plan to run arround Koukyo ? ( the Imperial Palace ) I work near there so if you would run, I would love to join! If not I would join Yoyogi park running on weekends!
There may Race the Train events, but I think we are the original, with thefirst race being held back in 1983, so 2012 will be the 29th race.
Thanks for the welcome. I do my best promoting Race the Train in what as you say is very beautiful part of Wales. Here in North/ Mid Wales we have best of both worlds with the mountains and the sea being walking and running distance.
Race the Train always scores high on scenary with the runners. Although I am not sure they have the time to and take it in as they compete not only against each other but also the train.
