Running in Tokyo/Japan - Marathon/Clubs/Track Races

東京でのマラソン・陸上・駅伝・・・・・体を鍛えて、環境を守ってエコマラソン

Today, I ran 10K at Shinjuku half marathon. It started 12:20 and weather was perfect. Sunny and warm, no wind.
We ran 4 laps around Kokuritsu Kyogijou. It was very crowdy at the beginning, but overall, nice course.

My time was 48min.28sec. which is PB. (47th among all women, 24th among ippan josshi.)
I am pretty happy about it since I could break 49mins wall since after Edogawa marathon last Nov...

Next race will be 10K at Saitama on 11th of Feb., and big one, another 10K at Oume marathon.
I will try to get close to 45min. as much as possible till Tokyo Marathon♪

Juergen,
Who is Subashu? ...which means, of course, I did not meet him/her(?).

Jay,
Thanks for your compliment. I really enjoyed staying there for whole week. Even in the severe cold weather, I enjoyed going out every moment. It was surely worth flying there. I could see inauguraion over there as well which was really historical event. :)

Di you meet Subash?

Well it was worth braving the NY cold in order to pickup those valuable airline award miles. And you did great at Shinjuku City even dealing with the jet lag. I guess it was too cold to run in Central Park? - Maybe this taper helped you.

Thank you guys. :)
Finally, I managed to write an article! :)
I am quite happy my newest PB. next target is break 48mins wall. :)
Anyway, Tokyo is much warmer than NY. I jogged almost every morning at NYC, but the air is much colder over there. One morning, I could not stay outside more than 10mins. It was brutal!! :))
