Running in Tokyo/Japan - Marathon/Clubs/Track Races

東京でのマラソン・陸上・駅伝・・・・・体を鍛えて、環境を守ってエコマラソン

Yesterday, I ran the Ome-Nippara 36.8k trail run. I finished in 7:12, not bad for an old man, but too long for team-mate Yoshi to wait for me! He had come in in fourth position in 4:48! Great effort on a course where the downhills partly had ropes because they were to step to descend without them! Well, it definitely was not my kind of course, as I prefer gentle declines where I can utilize my speed - passed about 15 runners on the last 7k, but still ended up in 124th position - out of about 300 finishers, lots of dnf, no wonder in such a race!

Yes, well, Yoshi is much better at these things than me, I do well as long as I can walk the uphills and run the downhills, but this one was madness. Actually, the uphills were so steep that I sometimes had to rest!

Great effort...well done.

Sounds like hell...certainly not my cup of o cha.

My concept of running does not involve ANY ropes at any stage.

You both must be very strong to do such things!!
