Running in Tokyo/Japan - Marathon/Clubs/Track Races

東京でのマラソン・陸上・駅伝・・・・・体を鍛えて、環境を守ってエコマラソン

Yesterday, I ran the Darmstadt Marathon in Darmstadt south of Frankfurt. I came off a business trip and not much preparation, felt over-all tired, and had to settle for a sub-par 3:51:56. The course was also hillier than expected, and weather was pretty hot.

In spite of these conditions, my friends Andreas Gerrits (left) and Benedikt - Haile - Heil obviously felt inspired by the presence of a rare guest from Japan (lol), and placed second (1:14:32) and sixth (1:15;30) in the half-marathon. Sorry to keep you guys waiting for such a long time!

Owain, these are my new hiking pants!

Jon - well, important things to do earlier in the year, but well, flights seem to be cheap...

Good effort but next year skip this one and run Melbourne in early October.
