I really enjoy reading posts and being part of the Running in Tokyo club. We were in Tokyo Dec. 2010 and really love it. I am from Vietnam and now living in America. I missed being around different culture, and connect with people. I am happy to be part of this running club. I will be running the LA marathon on March 20th. It will be my 22nd marathon so far. Hear hear to all runners, you are all a great support. Thank you for making my life a little more special. I hope and pray for the citizens of Japan affected by the terrible earthquake.

It is a pleasure having you as a member. And thank you very much for your lovely comments. Runners are generally very nice people, and Running in Tokyo has those in abundance. So there are plenty of people who want to make you feel welcome. I actually live in Korea however I'm hoping to relocate to Japan this fall and this catastrophe hasn't detered me. In fact if there is a greater need for English teachers in smaller communities that have been affected, I would be more than happy to teach there if asked. Good luck in the LA marathon. It is really weird, I myself had no problem, was at home, nothing even fell out of the shelves, but then I heard that the sister of one of our members was killed. Now I consider to - temporarily - leave town, because German media, and even the embassy, says the dangers from the uncontrollable nuclear reactions in Fukushima are very serious...
