Running in Tokyo/Japan - Marathon/Clubs/Track Races

東京でのマラソン・陸上・駅伝・・・・・体を鍛えて、環境を守ってエコマラソン

1:25;32, not bad considering my focus on speed more than on mileage, but could have done better. Slowed down on the second half after a decent 39:01 10k. Well, it seems in order to do well in half-marathons, you have to run a few of them, one per year is just not enough. Susono should provide good training, so I hope for an improvement in fall!
皆さん、お疲れ様!

I just read that the Over 50 Australian Record for the half marathon is 71 minutes. By a guy I raced over 5 Km at the Asian Pacific games in November last! No wonder he lapped me so often!

In Australia its almost always for first place only in an age groups. The race Tamami-san and I ran recently there were no age groups at all. Fortuntately the standard was pretty low enabling Tamami to win.
Did you hear about that Japanese guy who ran 2-36 for the marathon...world Record for 60+ !!!

And, to make matters worse, prizes go to the top 3 only!!

BTW, I once ran a PB, 1:17:21, with a 63-year-old, and the guy was actually from the same prefecture, Kanagawa.

That seems a pretty decent time. Well done. Did you win your age group?
