Running in Tokyo/Japan - Marathon/Clubs/Track Races

東京でのマラソン・陸上・駅伝・・・・・体を鍛えて、環境を守ってエコマラソン

Nice day to run through the woods of Mount Takao for this year Tengu trail race.

I joined the 10K, took a wrong turn and climbed the wrong mountain. Returned on my steps all the way down, climbed again (the correct mountain this time), fell heavily on my butt, fell again face forward but managed the regain my balance in time and just touched the ground with my hands. Run like hell in the last 3K all downhill to the finish line and recovered 2 positions.

Got 3rd in my age category (36-49 years) and had a chance to officially make a comment on the spaghetti offered to all the finishers.

Amazake, hot ginger drink, beer, sake, curry udon, curry rice and few more items were offered at a small price.

Definitely a nice event to return and enjoy!

Well done. Climbing the  WRONG mountain in the middle of a race must really mess up your time!!

Let's hope that, next year, it is not on the same day as the, also very nice, Ogawamachi Washi Marathon - blogpost will follow shortly!
