Arigatogozaimasu!! I got big horn like a trumpet in India! I'll show you at meeting.
  • LJ Collazo

Long story, short. There's seems to be a bio-mechanical issue on my right hip. More specifically, the small muscle that keeps the hip centered. It seems to be "stressed" and it pulls in too much. As a consequence when I step on the ground, the right foot doesn't land well, causing swelling on my right foor big toe. The funny thing is that his discomfort happens regardless if I run 10 miles or if I am walking around. Standing for long periods of time (like what I did Monday and Tuesday) doesn't help. While running longer distances, just a little bit f awareness helps me focus to land my foot properly. (cont->)
  • LJ Collazo

continued -> Doing small, daily stretches related to the hip and the yoga pose pigeon posed have been very helpfull and with noticeable results. I have been going to an osteopah doctor that practices with athletes. He is good but I starting to think that I need to "cure the cause".
  • Jamie Zucker

Thanks for letting me know about the Wednesday training sessions. Unfortunately, I work until 21.30 so can't make them. But up for any Sunday and Monday runs as they are my free days. Hopefully see some of you soon.
  • Toshiko Iwata-Lim

I'm hoping to be there some time between Feb and May. Haven't decided exactly when yet.
  • Gregory Berge

Hey Juergen, thanks for the messages! No, no, no and no, I did not run Badwater (yet) but I would be totally wishing to do it one day...Good training..until then! ;-)
  • Philip Lutton

Hi Jeurgen, just added a photo. I am a long time resident in Japan but have only recently got back into running. Consider me a newbie.

It seems most events require 2-3 months advance registration. Is there a summary table out there with event, location and registration cut off date? I can see a strong need to be very organized to participate. Regards, ppl
  • Joseph Tame

Thanks for the welcome. Seems it was just a problem with cookies.

    See you soon

hi juergen wittstock i fell your interst i appricahte your idea so how we work on this area i need your comment
  • Caroline Tien

Yeah Petr enjoyed it a lot. He thinks himself as more of a "short-distance" runner :)
  • Molly Peterson

Thank you for the nice welcome! I'm glad to be here and look forward to seeing people either at races or training runs.
  • Molly Peterson

I'm thinking about it. I think you all will be much more advanced than I am. Is it OK to join as a beginner?
  • Owain Vaughan Lewes

Fancy doing Gyeongju 10k on April 9? Cherry Blossom Festival.

Abraham Kissos will be running the marathon. He should win it. His best time is 2:25. He then intends to run the 10k race the following day at the Daegu Marathon Festival.

Maybe you could do both!! Race in your T6 flats at Gyeongju and the Green Silence's at Daegu.

So if you fancy doing either or both events email me and I'll register you.

  • Paul Mundt

I just checked the Oxfam dates, which seem to be May 13-15. Unfortunately I'll be doing the Yatsugatake Nobeyama Kougen 100km on the 15th, and since that has a time limit of 14 hours I'm not sure that I'm up for doing them back-to-back.

There aren't that many ultras in Japan to begin with, it's beyond comprehension that the event coordinators would double book two of them!

    Hope you're enjoying Hong Kong!

  • Mike Yellen

thanks jurgen! ok, done. enjoy Hong Kong!
  • Mike Yellen

yes, my dog cody! he runs with me almost every day. he also loves to swim...if you look closely at the photo you may notice his wet paw prints leading out of the fountain behind him.....
