About Me:
I've never been a runner, or much of an athlete for that matter, but I have always liked working out. After having my first child, my friends and I started hitting the gym at work, and once that started to get easier we were looking for more of a challenge and that's when the running began.

I have completed my first 1/2 marathon on Oct 3, 2010 and I think I'm hooked. I'm still a slow runner, but hope to continue to steadily increase my speed and miles.

All of my relatives are in Japan (Tokyo area) and I go to visit every 2-3 years. I was curious to see if there were any 5K or 10K races in Tokyo and found your forum when searching thru the web. I hope to make it out to an event when I'm there in 2011, or just hit a nearby trail.

    Hi Toshiko - Fuji Susono is a lot of fun. It is a very casual event by Tokyo running race standards.  Also it is a really pleasant and convenient weekend excursion from central Tokyo  Our running club has a group going up for the weekend.  By all means let me know if you want to join us and need help registering.
