Yes, I do need help with the technical aspects. I would like to post some of the pictures from the event for everyone in Japan to see. A small beach town in Florida had come together to help Japan.
Sorry I missed you yesterday. I went down to Tamagara and ran along the river for a few hours. I think about 32km or so. At any rate, looking at your site, I noticed a few of you wearing a Namban Rengo singlet.
They look pretty neat and I was wondering if it would be possible to purchase one? I wear either a Medium or large. Let me know, I'll bring money with me on Weds. in case they are available. If not, life goes on. I still plan to be there on Weds. at 6:45. See you then. Mike
2 items, I tried showing up to run with your group last Wednesday, however, I couldn't find you guys in Yoyogi Park. Where in the park do you meet at 7pm?
2nd thing, I know it's late for this week, but where do you guys meet up for a long run?
Do you guys train together? I have a group in Delaware that gets together once a week for speed workouts. Do you have something similar in Tokyo?
Also, I'm interested in running a race or two while I'm out there (May 16 to June 2nd), do you know of any races happening then? If so, what and how would I go about signing up?
I would love to join you all.Are u doing something on Wednesday Night(Tomorrow).I am free during the Golden Week.Just tell me if you are going for a run.
Thanks Juergen. This is Jeff who trained with you and Namban in late 2009 to early 2010. I'm all set up here in Southern California, but I decided to join your site so I can keep in touch and update you and my friends in Tokyo with my running and racing.
I've been really busy with my new job, but I am starting to train hard and to race again. I will try to post some of my races in the future.
Thanks Jurgen, the Jeju race looks fantastic, its on my list. I was sorry to read that you had a navigational mishap, race winner next year?
It was great to meet you in Kyoto. I've done a report of the road race at http://rushirushworth.blogspot.com/ Im gearing up for the London Marathon now. The race is this Sunday, the weather's looking good. In a bit...
The ascension of col de la bonette is a pedestrian race. It's happen every years in july, the last sunday (this year it's the 24). It's a road race : 28 km / 2800m of elevation.
Hello Juergen, thank you for your warm welcome! I am very much looking forward to joining your training sessions and taking part in running events after I arrive in April!
Juergen, i should have joined you all while i was in Tokyo, but i was too caught up with meeting up with friend and hanging out. i'm thinking of UTMF in 2012 though. I barely started running ultras. Started in August 2010. Training for Miwok and Western states now.
thanks for your message! Just finished Tokyo marathon for the second time on Sunday. Though struggled with injuries and couldn't replicate or improve on my 4:12 time....
Consequently I'm hungry to get back out and break the 4 hour barrier.
Any recommendations for full marathons in May or June would be greatly appreciated!
I'm down in Mie-ken.
I can highly recommend both the Shima half-marathon (April 17) http://runnet.jp/runtes/raceDetail/top/m24896.html and the Kamoshika half-marathon (mid October) to anyone wanting to do some races elsewhere in Japan.
Ise (home to Ise shrine) is possibly to host a full marathon in November this year and that should be a great course too!
Well that is right! No such thing as an easy marathon ;) Hope you are having fun at home. I am looking at running one day in Germany. Berlin would be brilliant but October is impossible for me in my current position.
I have done the bike leg as well as run leg as part of a team in triathlon but never done the swim leg. I mainly use the bike for cross training as running is my preferred event but I dont have any good running profile photos.
