Running in Tokyo/Japan - Marathon/Clubs/Track Races

東京でのマラソン・陸上・駅伝・・・・・体を鍛えて、環境を守ってエコマラソン

06:35PM, Saturday, January 15, Palermo Park, Buenos Aires city, Argentina.

I use to run early morning but today I decided to change my daily routine.

A typical summer day in Buenos Aires (30 Centigrade Degree and heavy humidity). A lot of people in the park.

7minutes/km is my speed for today. Suddenly I feel that, behind me, somebody is fast approaching. When I turn my head, a runner pass me and runs away quickly. Nothing strange taking into consideration my turtle speed but very surprised to read “NAMBAN RENGO” in her black T-shirt.

I increased my speed trying to catch her and said “excuse me excuse me, did you come from Japan?” “No, from Frankfurt” she replied. She was running very fast and I couldn’t keep her speed. I felt that my lungs would burst and in a few seconds I found myself running 50 meters back. She quickly disappeared on the horizon while I felt very disappointed to lose the chance to talk with a Namban Rengo’s member.

Namban Rengo’s in Buenos Aires ?

Hi all,

not sure what all this is about, I thought it was just a joke about my relationship with Karin.

BTW, there is message/comment to profile function on this site, in case we really mixed something up here. But I don't think there was any serious problem.... Definitely interested in running in Argentina!

Hello Owain ! I'm fine, thanks.

I'm running 4-5 days a week and not more than 10K. This year I'm thinking to participate in only 4 races (10K and 21K in May, 21K in sept and 42K in oct). At moment my intention is just to improve my turtle speed.

What about you ?

Ernesto

Dear all; firstly I would like to clarify the following. I write my messages in "word", copy and paste in the blog and send it. I didn't understand Jon's message so checked what I sent yesterday and found that my text was changed (or some mistake during the process of copy-paste). I don't know was happened but now I'm in a hurry to clarify as under:

To Jon: Please ignore my message. Very sorry to disturb you. I frankly apologize for this mistake. Of course, you are free to release any comments.

To Juergen: Please disregard my message. Unknown yet if some half marathon will be held in Feb-Mar'2012,

Owain, actually, I admit to telling Karin about Ernesto....

Hehe, well, Jon, we know, if uninjured, you can do much better than that! And the "private comments" were directed at me, weren't they.... But there is nothing mystical about that relationship.

Well if you don't want any private comments I will do even better and not reply at all.

And I certainly would not be interested in running "2.10 or something like that". Or is that a private comment?

Ernesto.

Great to hear from you. And I hope you are in good condition.

Any races coming up?

Owain

Juergen,

I believe you're from Frankfurt. Karin's from Frankfurt, and she stayed in Tokyo. C.O.I.N.C.I.D.E.N.C.E; I'm sure you'll agree. Even though you visited South America last year; can you verify to us that you didn't visit Buenos Aires.......And we do have a private investigator living there.

The jury is out on this one.

Hehe, with regard to the private comments, I would love to meet Karin in Argentina, but I think it's more likely that I meet her in Germany!

Will think about next year, it's still a bit early to plan, but thanks a lot for the offer!

To Jon: Hello! Frankly speaking, all depend on if your aim is to complete 21K in 01:20:00 or just to enjoy the travel, to know a new country and to finish the race in 02:10:00 or something like that. Ganbatte kudasai !! Please Jon, don´t include a private comments into this blog. Thanks in advance.

To Juergen: Half Marathons in South Argentina will be held in Feb-Mar but I don't know the organization level. If you are interested, I will try to check more details.
