Books I have just read

'Bikila' Ethiopia's barefoot Olympian by Tim Judah.2008.

Pretty good book. Nothing much about his training but quite a bit about his life after his second Olympic Gold.

'Run to Overcome' by Meb Keflezighi.2010

This is a really good book. Amazing what this guy had to overcome in his early life and also his many injuries.Lots of great race descriptions.

Isogashi Half Marathon Dec 5th 2010

Tamami ran a PB Half Marathon yesterday in 1-44.13. Garmin showed the course long.Target is to break 100 minutes. She finished 12th in the over 40s and 26th women overall.

Tamami san ran and won the women's division ( no age groups) of a 6 Km fun run in the Melbourne suburb of Coburg this morning.
She ran a PB for the hilly course of 28.14 and came from behind in the last Km to win by 20 seconds.

Melbourne Races

Tamami Koike ran 10th in her age group over a wet and hilly cross country course in the Victorian State Championship on Saturday.
Tuesday she ran another pb. 4 Km on the track: 17.49.
Jon ran 15.48 for 4 Km on the track on Tuesday finishing 4th.

5Km Masters race Melbourne May 5th

Tamami Koike ran another PB. 5km in 22.48 finishing 3rd over all.
Jon Holmes was out kicked in the straight to get 2nd in 20.03

The chances of someone achieving what you did is a zillion to one! What is the secret? Can't be the lattes at Buddhas Belly! lol.
