I live in Shiki, the flat part of Saitama. Have my car and storage in Ogawamachi, plenty of trails there! Also, our sponsor, Tengu Natural Foods has a nice cafe near Hanno and I often visit, also ran there from Hanno with http://runningintokyo.com/profile/KikiTanaka, she lives in Hanno.
