Welcome to the site!Thank you for joining this website, and I hope to see you at a training-run or a race soon. We try our best to assist foreign runners to navigate to difficulties of the Japanese running bureaucracy, and fortunately, have a lot of Japanese members who can help with that.I'm looking forward to seeing your blog-posts and other running-related content on this website!
Cheers, Juergen (website-creator) P.S.: How about a nice profile-picture?
I will be here until Feb. 7., then off to Germany, so, can't cheer for the Tokyo guys, but please write a blog-post! With regard to the work-out on Wed., please contact Eco-Marron, also for discount at the shower/changing place (Wired<>Fit).
will run about 8-10k from Wired<>Fit at 4pm, am very busy these days because I leave for Germany on Monday. Do you want to meet for dinner? Cell: 080-3462-6833
Sorry about taking my time getting back to you. It looks like you've got the right idea. In simple terms to run a marathon well you need enough fuel in the tank to get you round which comes through doing your long steady runs whereby your you accumulate that heavy legged feeling towards the end, and your marathon pace efforts such as progression runs and those which incorporate long intervals .
I thoroughly recommend Jack Daniels' Running Formula which gives precise training paces according to your ability. An excellent book that you can purchase through Amazon
Korea can be very cold in the winter. I've often done long runs with the Seoul marathon club when it's been -15%. And I agree its always a pleasure running in Tokyo. Which is one of the reasons why I want to relocate there.
