SUMMARY:Sahara Race (Jordan) 2015
DESCRIPTION:The course of the Sahara Race 2014 takes competitors acros
 s 250 kilometers (approximately 155 miles) of stunning desert terrain 
 in the country of Jordan. Over seven days, competitors will cross the 
 four distinct deserts of Wadi Rum, Kharaza, Humaima and Wadi Araba and
  finish in the ancient city of Petra. The terrain will vary between sa
 nd, sand dunes, dirt / rock track and grasses. Competitors will naviga
 te canyons, river beds, valleys and local villages in areas steeped in
  Jordanian culture and history.\nThe 4 Deserts is the world's leading 
 rough-country endurance footrace series. A unique collection of world-
 class events that take place over 7 days and 250 kilometers in the lar
 gest and most forbidding deserts on the planet.\nCompetitors are chall
 enged to go beyond the limits of their physical and mental endurance. 
 Racing self-supported in the most inhospitable climates and formidable
  landscapes, they must carry all their own equipment and food and are 
 only provided with drinking water and a place in a tent each night to 
 rest.\nThe series, named again by TIME magazine in 2010 as one of the 
 world's Top 10 Endurance Competitions, comprises the Atacama Crossing 
 in Chile, the Gobi March in China, the Sahara Race in Jordan and The L
