  on 26 July 2015. Competitors will experience rugged highlands, stunni

 ent Inca trail and ruins, lush national parks and indigenous Inca vill
 ages. You will explore the beauty, diversity and culture of the countr
 y which is also home to the Galápagos Islands, a UNESCO Heritage Site
 .\nThe 4 Deserts is the world's leading rough-country endurance footra
 ce series. A unique collection of world-class events that take place o
 ver 7 days and 250 kilometers in the largest and most forbidding deser
 ts on the planet.\nCompetitors are challenged to go beyond the limits 
 of their physical and mental endurance. Racing self-supported in the m
 ost inhospitable climates and formidable landscapes, they must carry a
 ll their own equipment and food and are only provided with drinking wa
 ter and a place in a tent each night to rest.\nThe series, named again
  by TIME magazine in 2010 as one of the world's Top 10 Endurance Compe
 titions, comprises the Atacama Crossing in Chile, the Gobi March in Ch
 ina, the Sahara Race in Jordan and The Last Desert in Antarctica.\n \
