DESCRIPTION:RacingThePlanet’s seventh Roving Race will take part in 
 Madagascar on 31 of August 2014. The Roving Races take place once a ye
 ar in a new and unique location each time. This series is in its seven
 th year with the last two races taking place in Jordan in 2012 and Ice
 land in 2013. This series is a similar format as the prestigious 4 Des
 erts series. They are 250 kilometer / 155 mile, 7-day, 6-stage enduran
 ce footraces through the most remote and culturally rich places on ear
 th. The unique landscape includes lush rainforest, rivers and crystall
 ine lakes to desert, savannah, huge caverns, mountains, grassland and 
 open valleys all surrounded by thousands of kilometers of pristine, tu
 rquoise shoreline. Madagascar has a number of highlights including the
  rich flora and fauna, much of which is not found anywhere else on ear
 th. The event is self-supported which means that competitors must carr
 y all their own equipment and food, but are provided with water and a 
 place in a tent each day and are supported by professional medical and
